I woke up this morning doing my daily morning routine, cleaning birds cages, cleaning cats place, feeding time and such, and while I was feeding Rikka I heard the cats making such a loud noises, lots of fighting was going on between Mikani and my adopted cat Ado grand son, those two does not get along quite well, I’ve noticed these looks between them before but I did not know it was this serious, well both of them are males and both are almost over a 8 months old, I am not sure what to do, but I hope they won’t harm each other, to think that Mikani can ever look mean, its weird.
There been a lot of things going on in my pets life that I meant to write about but I did not have the chance to, I’ve taken a lot of pictures as well but I don’t know where to upload them here, I will manage something later I guess.. Anyway, I’ve brought home a new friend, it’s a 2 months old CAG, so cute, her name is Rikka, she got along quite well with Sukar, staying in his cage and all, and Rikka is very very cuddly, I never met a CAG that is this cuddly, she would sleep under my chin and stay on my shoulder, calling for me, its so cute and she think thats she owns me >.<;; cos she would fight everyone off of me..
Rikka is staying with us for few days now and everytime she goes home I come and bring her to my house the next day XD I am sure at the end I will be adopting her >.<
I’ve received a email from my Vet asking me to call him first thing in the morning as the results were in after 16 days of waiting, the doctor did not carry good news, he told me that my Timneh is a positive C.Psittaci and my CAG has a PBFDV, my timneh is staying with the Vet for medication for 40 days and I am caring for two CAG that has PBFDV now terrified that my Cockatoo have caught it too… but we can’t test her before 4 weeks from now.. It’s so sad, the Timneh might have a chance to survive with the treatment but my other babies might not even survive a year, I am so sad, I’ve cried when the vet informed me on the phone, I cried when I went to him and heard all what he had to say about it.
I just hope they will have a stronger Immunity, I am trying my best to give them all I can, I feed them pellets and veggies/fruits/wheat/nuts the vet gave me a antibiotics to give it to them as well and advised me to purchase a Echinacea Drops to add to the water..

I took my Timneh and Congo to the vet yesterday as I was noticing a strange way of breathing coming from my Timneh Sukar, plus I found a bird lice on my hand I made an appointment and went the next day, the vet was very helpful, he gave me lots of tips on my baby Congo and he checked Sukar (TAG) he said there is nothing with his breathing, but he said his feather colors are strange it is not a timneh colors, he thought he was probably washed with something (my timneh was a rescue from a poor and abusing pet shop)some of his feather was damaged, and he had a skin disease that was treated with human treatment (his chest feather was so greasy) he did few tests and x-ray to check him and he weighted him and he was just 224g, he was so underweight poor thing, I hope he will get better soon, I went back home and cleaned all cages, soaked the toys in water and separated my cockatoo from them (poor Vanessa she was so excited about the new arrivals but she cannot see them until 40 days passes) .
The Vet gave me Harrisons High Potency Course pellet and told me how to give it to them, though the first day no one was interested in it not even my cockatoo, but the best thing was when I gave the fruits they tried it, the greys don’t usually like to try food specially the older one (timneh) but today I saw him eating which made me really happy! I hope he gain back the weight and he become healthier, I am trying all my best to give him a better place.
Oh and the vet bill was a killer =_= ..it was 820$ for both birds.

I have to take my greys to the vet tomorrow, I am a little worried, but I hope they are well and nothing wrong with them.
I found a weird insect on my hand today, I didn’t know what it was, after I removed it I had this idea, what if it was a bird lice? I never seen such a thing, it was light in color and small, so I googled and looked through images and I went back to look into the tissue that I removed the insect with, it turned out to be a bird lice for sure, I was really upset, no wonder Cricri (CAG) was itching since I adopted him but did not imagine he had any, because I did a research and they said the birds itches when the feather grows back, so I did not know, I was looking for a vet to see about my parrot a week ago but I could not find a good one so today because of all this I had to call and make an appointment, I don’t want lices here, I have a baby sister and I don’t want her harmed, so I hope everything goes well and it will be solved in no time.

When I was a kid, we had a CAG, he was untamed, he will scream at anyone comes close to the cage but after 6 months he turned out to be so lovable, sweet, cuddly, playful and very talkative, he spent 6 years with us and then his original owner came to claim him so since then we didn’t have any grey in the house, I’ve got a lovable Cockatoo that she kept me busy as I grew up with her. Recently we’ve decided to adopt a 3 months and half old CAG, he would still bite but I taught him that hands don’t harm him so now he became really nice and I’ve weaned him in few days of his arrival as he didn’t want to eat baby food from the bottle anymore. And one day, I went to a pet shop looking for a Cockatoo to keep my girly-too company and found this poor Timneh, mistreated, living miserably and no one will buy him, he is probably a year or two old, untamed, scared of people and the shop clerk was pulling him from his leg or tail which made me go really mad, at the end I bought him for only $160 as the pet owner wanted to get rid of him. I went and bought for the Timneh (who is called Sukar-Sukar now) a huge cage, filled with toys and mineral perches, well I put it in a way that it doesn’t scare him and placed his cage with his other roommates in a warm cozy guest room, but he still scream whenever he sees my hand, I am trying to make him feel comfy all I could, giving him fresh food and seeds, but he won’t eat unless we are away, I am just praying he will come around and trust me, and I know it takes a long time but I just want him to be happy, I wanted to save him from that place..
My CAG CriCri he doesn’t get along with TAG Sukar and a lot of time they fight but try to keep them apart as much as I can, the thing is my CriCri sneak into his cage, and my Cockatoo likes to visit too but she is not aggressive she is very friendly and curious..
